    The price might be a little different from what the calculator shows - every film is unique, and costs can change based on where it’s going, what specs are required, and any special requests along the way.

    • Q: What file type should I provide for my film?

      1. We accept .MOV files.

    • Q: What codecs do you prefer?

      • Preferred: ProRes 422 HQ or ProRes 4444

        • Accepted: DNxHD or DNxHR

    • Q: What frame rates are accepted?

      • Preferred: 24fps

        • Also Accepted: 23.98, 29.97, 30, 59.94, 60

    • Q: What frame sizes should my project be in?

      • 2K:

        • Flat: 1998 × 1080

        • Scope: 2048 × 858

        • Full: 2048 × 1080

      • 4K:

        • Flat: 3996 × 2160

        • Scope: 4096 × 1716

        • Full: 4096 × 2160

    • Q: What file type should my audio be?

      • We accept .WAV files.

    • Q: What are your audio format requirements?

      • Sample Rate: 48kHz

      • Bit Depth: 24-bit

    • Q: How should I deliver stereo audio?

      • Embed the stereo mix directly into your .MOV file.

    • Q: How should I deliver 5.1 surround audio?

      • Provide six individual mono .WAV files (48kHz, 24-bit), labeled as follows:

        • L (Left)

        • R (Right)

        • C (Center)

        • LFE (Low-Frequency Effects)

        • Ls (Left Surround)

        • Rs (Right Surround)

    Note: All audio must match the exact length of your picture file.

    • Q: What color space should I use?

      • Default: Rec709 Gamma 2.2

      • Optional (on request): Rec709 Gamma 2.4 or P3

    If your film uses a different color space or gamma, please notify MC DCP after checkout.

    • Q: How should I deliver my files?

      • Preferred: Digital upload via Google Drive

      • Physical Drop-Off: Available in the Detroit Metro Area (contact us to arrange)

    • Q: Can you ship my DCP directly to a festival?

      • Yes — we can ship to both domestic and international festivals.

    Additional shipping fees may apply.

    • Q: What if my DCP needs changes?

      • If minor adjustments are needed after your first screening, send us the corrected media within 15 days for re-authoring at 50% off.

    • Q: What is your refund policy?

      • If any issues occur due to the DCP creation process, we offer a 100% refund.

  • We have our very own screening space right inside our Detroit office - perfect for private viewings, test screenings, or QC checks.

    Bookings are by inquiry only, so reach out to us directly to reserve your time.

    We can also provide a photo gallery and full tech specs for the screening room upon request.
